Progeos at the Connecticut Conference of Municipalities Trade Show

Progeos was recently a participant at the Connecticut Conference of Municipalities annual trade show on October 8th at the Connecticut Convention Center in downtown Hartford, Connecticut. Progeos had an excellent show and found interest from over 30 Connecticut cities and towns in our innovative products and services.
Why was there so much interest in Progeos in a down economy when budgets are tight and services are shrinking?
- Potential users were interested in moving more services, like work orders, permitting, and code enforcement to online systems that allowed municipalities to provide more services at lower costs
- Many cities and towns were looking to replace their current, outdated desktop systems with low cost online tools
- Users wanted systems that they had more control over, eliminating the need for a consultant to do simple tasks
- Users want to upgrade the functionality of their current system
- Users wanted to provide online access for creating service requests
- Municipalities wanted more out of their GIS investment. They wanted to be able to take that valuable data and integrate it with work order systems, permitting systems and other tools without spending tens of thousands of dollars
